CHILD SAFE TRAINING SESSION:

About 60 parishioners braved the weather on Wednesday night to attend the Session, reaffirming the importance of safeguarding children in our parish.  We gained an understanding of the legal imperatives as well as the Church’s response. One of the main suggestions was for the inclusion of child-safe information into any induction brochure to new parishioners so that all parishioners, not just our volunteers, become knowledgeable.  Our thanks to CatholicCare Melbourne for such a worthwhile experience.
