As the planning for the 2020 Plenary Council of the Church in Australia gets underway, Bishop Pat O’Regan is visiting every parish.  These meetings are a way of introducing parishioners to the concept of Plenary 2020; initiating dialogue; explaining the Plenary process and most importantly, listening to the people.

Bishop Pat will be at St Pat’s on Tuesday the 24TH of April.

The format of the evening is roughly as follows:

7.30pm:   Welcome

7.35pm:   Prayer

7.45pm:   History and nature of a Plenary Council; about the 2020 Plenary Council;  what the Bishops are doing; what the Sale Diocese is doing; introduction to the Gaudium et Spes group; what each Parish is asked to do.

8.10pm:   Snapshot of each Parish and the Diocese of Sale

8.20pm:   Open session.

9.00pm:   Close and cuppa

Please mark your diary for April 24th! This will be one of the more important parish meetings of the year. Please consider attending. I respectfully ask all parish volunteers, groups and nationalities to see they are well represented on the night. If groups have scheduled meetings that night, I ask them, please, to consider postponing their meeting in favour of attending this one. Fr Bernard.
