BAPTISM PREPARATION VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to 4 times a year to help with baptism preparation. This takes place every 1st Sunday of the month at 2:45 pm and goes for about an hour. Materials are provided. Please contact parish office.

First Communion will be celebrated in our parish in May. ST PATRICKS FEAST DAY:
The feast of our patron Saint, St Patrick will be celebrated in our parish on March 17th beginning with Mass at 7:00pm followed by dinner in the parish hall. Bring a plate to share.
DISCUSSION GROUPS IN LENT:
We have a Lenten program called “Grace”, for group discussions/reflections after stations of the cross every week during Lent. Please contact parish office for details.
FROM THE SAFEGUARDING OFFICER:
Reminder on Building a Child Safe Environment: It is expected that all parishioners with Working With Children Checks volunteering in St Patrick’s Parish, who did not attend the first session on 17th July 2019 will attend the final session on Saturday 21st March at 10am to 12.30pm in the Church. The session will be conducted by CatholicCare and you will find it enjoyable and enlightening. Do come and by your attendance give witness to how seriously St Patrick’s Parish views the safeguarding of children. We need to know who will be attending so we do require that you register by completing the attendance list in the Church foyer.

Fr Paul is the keynote speaker at the National Liturgy Conference in Parramatta in March. He will then arrive in our Diocese for two days of presentations. Monday 16th March: 7.30 pm at St Patrick’s .Public Workshop How is God calling us to be a Christ-Centred Church that is PRAYERFUL AND EUCHARISTIC? All are welcome. A LENTEN RETREAT PROGRAMME IN OUR PARISH:
As a part of our preparation for Lent we will have a one-day retreat with Fr Elio Capra on Saturday 28th March from 10:30 am to 4:45 pm followed by the 6:00 pm mass. He will speak to us on A NEW LOOK AT THE MEANING OF LENT AND EASTER. Pope Francis and the early Church remind that it is not just a time of “giving up”. It is a time of “rediscovering our first love”: Jesus Christ. All Parishioners are encouraged to come and attend. Gold coin donation appreciated.

Fr. Richard Leonard, SJ will be conducting a Lenten Mission at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Narre Warren. Fr. Richard is a Jesuit priest, who is a well-known international speaker and has lectured on faith and culture all over the world. He is also a renowned author of some famous books such as; Where the hell is God? Why bother praying? What are we doing on earth for Christ’s sake? This Mission will focus on the issues that confront us as Christians in the contemporary world and offer practical direction about how we can live our lives of faith more deeply. The mission begins on Monday 30th of March to Wednesday 1st of April 2020.
The sessions are from 10am to 11.15 am and REPEATED at 7.30 pm to 8.45 pm. The sessions are 30th March- “Going out to the world: we need all the help we can get”31st March – “Nine steps to making better choices for my life” 1st April – “Where the Hell is God? PATRICKS YOUTH GROUP/CHOIR:
We are holding a meeting on Easter Monday 13th April 2020 at 5pm, for all children and adolescence aged 10 to 25 years, who are interested in joining our youth group. It would be an enlightening experience for those participating, with lots of fun activities including, a chance to get involved in our youth choir; vocals or instrumental; youth masses and training for youth ministries; attend social and fundraising events, one day retreats, day trips, youth camps and much more. Children under the age of 16 years will need to be accompanied by an adult. There will be an ‘Expression of Interest’ sheet in the foyer for anyone who would like to join, or if unsure, come to our meeting and see what it’s all about. THE WONDER WOMEN’S GROUP :
“Come and join a community of women for self-care and well-being. The Women’s Group is for adults only, however, children can be accommodated and supervised if required.
