WELCOME

This (Friday night and) Saturday we welcome Bishop Pat O’Regan to the parish for the celebration of Confirmation with 60+ of our young parishioners. Congratulations to the children and their family for reaching this stage of their Christian initiation, and a very warm St Pat’s welcome to you, Bishop Pat. We hope you enjoy your stay with us.


MIGRANT AND REFUGEE SUNDAY

This annual celebration will be observed on Sunday 26th August 2018. The parish has received their liturgy resources to assist in planning parish celebrations.

The annual Diocesan celebration will be held on that particular Sunday (26/8) at 2.00 pm at St Thomas the Apostle Parish, 1005 Cranbourne – Frankston Road, Cranbourne/ Clyde North. The worship space is located on the first floor of St Peter’s College, Cranbourne East campus.


RCIC WELCOME

This weekend we welcome some of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children candidates whose families are seeking their baptism. All parishioners wish the children and the families the many blessings of God, and a full, happy and joyful life under the guidance of God’s Holy Spirit.


TO THE SRI LANKAN CATHOLIC COMMUNITY

Fr Hilarion Fernando OSB, of St Michael’s parish, Berwick, will be celebrating a Thanksgiving Mass for his 45th ordination anniversary. Fr Hilarion extends an invitation to all in the Sri Lankan community to join the Mass at Our Lady Help of Christians church at Narre Warren, on the 26th of August at 4 pm. May God bless you all!!!


AN INVITATION FROM THE MAURITIAN COMMUNITY AT ST. PAT’S

The St Pat’s Mauritian community invites you to celebrate the feast of Blessed Jacques-Desiree Laval, the “Apostle of Mauritius” on Sunday, 9th September, at 10.30 am Mass. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION

The sacrament of reconciliation for the first time, will be celebrated on October 25th in our parish. For those children, attending schools other than our parish schools, who would like to receive this sacrament, please contact Siji Dominic @ 59417315 – or siji@stpatrickspakenham.com.au – soon to register. The four preparatory sessions begin on 12th Sept.  It is expected that each child and a family member will attend each activity.


BR. JOHNSON SEQUEIRA

Br Johnson is a Catholic lay preacher from India, and is again in Australia after his mission trips in February and April this year. He will be leading a spiritual renewal retreat this month with a session at St Agatha’s, Cranbourne on Monday, August 20th at 7:00pm; and OLHC Narre Warren on 30/31 August 7:00pm. Br Johnson is blessed with the gift of teaching God’s Word in a very simple, effective way. He is also blessed with the gift of healing and other gifts of the Spirit. The Catholic Diocese of Sale has its administrative offices at Sion House, 6 Witton St., Warragul.  The Diocese has approximately 120,000 Catholics.
